NUDO

"Nudo" is a furniture piece designed primarily as a seating device, and can also be used as a table or footstool. The design is the result of multiple experiments with the process of weaving. The overall shape is inspired by the classic form of a lanyard. The addition of the steel details is intended to give the product a more finished look, but the felt is structurally integral for the functionality of the product.

Assignment: Chose a production process to explore and become familiar with (weaving). Explore different materials and create an object that exemplifies your fluency with the process. The final design should strongly focus on the process explored.

Materials: Stainless Steel and felt.

Machines used: rotary cutter, mig welder and angle grinder.
